Little Stinker!

Ethan has been a naughty boy lately!  The little stinker has been keeping Matt and I on our toes.  Lately we have been taking walks around the neighborhood when Matt gets home from work.  The other day we were just about home when Matt looks down and says "he unbuckled himself."  During his stroller ride he must have been working on unbuckling himself without us even knowing!  And the other night I had just changed him and was walking over to his closet to grab him a new shirt and I hear this scratching noise.  I grabbed the shirt walked over to his changer to find that the scratching noise was Ethan pulling the tabs of his diapers.  He had managed to get them undone!  His latest and greatest is to laugh at the word no.  One night Matt was disciplining Tucker and he said "You need to stop that right now."  And Ethan just busted out in a fit of laughter.  So Matt played along and started to say all sorts of disciplinary phases and pointing his finger and saying "NO" and Ethan continued to crack up.  At first it was pretty cute, but when the joke continued for a few days I told Matt you better stop that before he starts laughing at us when he is actually in trouble.  Sure enough the other day I told him "NO!" and he just smiled at me and giggled.  I pointed out to Matt what happened and he pretended not to notice and just laughed.  My boys are already conspiring against me!  Not to mention its difficult to stay mad when you see that smile.  He is so funny when he doesn't even know he is doing it.  The other day we were riding in the car when we heard this noise that sounded like an Indian.  We look into the mirror we have in front of his car seat and he had his juice cup upside down and his mouth wide open and was hitting the cup against his mouth.

I'm proud to say that Ethan is well on his way to crawling.  He is so determined.  When he is on his tummy he pushes himself up and rocks back and forth trying to move.  He can move himself backwards but not forward yet.  You can just see it on his face that he wants it so badly.  After his little arms gets tired he collapses flat on the floor.  But then a few seconds later he lifts his head and starts rocking around again.  At first I was very excited, but then the thought crossed my mind that he is going to be mobile and I immediately had visions of me running around the house chasing him.  Not that this is a bad thing but I have to admit that I like to put a load in the dishwasher while he plays on with his toys and know that he is there when I am done.  And with the rate we are going with his mischievous behavior god only knows what he has in store for Matt and I.

Our almost crawler
I had to add this because it is so cute
