| He is all ready to be packed up |
Since we have been pinching pennies trying to save for the move Matt and I haven't been out much lately. We decided that on Saturday night we were going to treat ourselves to Cheeseburgers in Paradise for a burger and a cocktail. We were extremely productive that day and I was looking forward to it all day long. But of course an hour before Ethan became unruly and so we put him down for a nap. Ethan is a baby that loves to stick to his schedule, so if we went to the restaurant any later than five we would cut into bath time and bed and we knew dinner would be a disaster. Quickly realizing that with this mandatory nap we would not make dinner I became extremely sad. As stupid as it sounded we needed this dinner out. This is one of the many reasons that I am looking forward to Texas, we have people that can take Ethan for a couple of hours to go out to a dinner, something we haven't had since he was born. I love him but sometimes we need a break. We ended up going to the restaurant anyways, he wasn't half bad either. He sat in Matt's lap the majority of the time but during dinner sat in the high chair and ate mum mums (a baby rice husk). Matt and I couldn't remember the last time we had gone out to eat so it was a very nice treat!

| Eating a mum mum in paradise a babies dream (too bad he missed out on the burgers) |
Ethan had a play date the other day with his friend Junah. Now that he is sitting up and playing the babies are able to play or so we thought. It started with Junah taking away a bottle of baby lotion Ethan was holding. She took the bottle and hit him in the face with it. So then Ethan reached over and pulled her hair. I put Ethan on his tummy and Junah took the bottle of lotion and proceeded to pull it just out of his reach. He got frustrated and so I pulled him into my lap. I was holding him and making him laugh so Junah walked over and grabbed onto me, Ethan just looked at her let out a huge noise (as if to say stay away she is my mommy) and Junah immediately burst into tears. I guess we need to work on playing with others. But it was pretty priceless to watch. We are going to miss our friends Junah and Kyley they have been with us since he was in the womb. Its sad that now they are finally of an age they can play we are leaving, they have been so much fun to play with!
